BeeCarbonize is Nominated for the Apple Design Awards!
Published: May 25, 2023 Reading time: 1 minuteThe computer card game Beecarbonize, created by Charles Games in collaboration with our colleagues from the Climate Team here at People in Need, has been recognised with a nomination in the Social Impact category of this year's Apple Design Awards. These awards recognise innovation, ingenuity, and technical achievement in app and game design—this nomination is an outstanding achievement and testament to the work of all involved.
"We are thrilled to have placed alongside such big names as the popular apps Headspace and Duolingo, as well as award-winning games like Hindsight and Endling," said Ondřej Trhoň from Charles Games.
Beecarbonize grants players the power to decide the fate of the planet. The strategic climate change simulation is grounded in real-world research and scientific visions. The competition will announce the winner on the 5th of June at the WWDC23 conference.
In addition to being nominated, Beecarbonize players will soon see an update to the game. Developers Charles Games will improve the game's graphics and enrich the player's experience with new achievements, challenges, and cards.
You can download Beecarbonize for free on the Apple App Store, Google Play a Itch.io. It was created as part of the 1Planet4All project.
